J. Kapela Design & Construction worked with a real estate development group to renovate this iconic apartment building on Clifton Boulevard in Lakewood throughout 2017 and 2018. Working closely ​with the owners and real estate team, our on-site project manager and financial analytics team continually evaluated each construction scenario throughout the project lifecycle to maximize the return on investment potential for the owners. As a highly distressed property, we demolished the interior down to the brick and concrete shell and rebuilt every square foot while maintaining the integrity of the original facade. In the end, a four-story, 30 unit building consisting of modern one- and two-bedroom apartments came back to life.
